The Challenge
TurboThao Nails was building a client base primarily through Instagram, which worked for visibility but created a dependency on an algorithm they didn't control. A reach drop on any given post meant fewer appointment inquiries that week. New clients who found them through a friend's post had no easy way to see the full service menu, compare pricing across nail types, or book without sending a DM and waiting for a reply.
The salon's work was visually compelling — detailed nail art, gel sets, acrylics, seasonal custom designs — but Instagram's grid format made it impossible to organize that work by style in a way that helped a client quickly find examples of the specific service they were interested in booking. The platform that was driving awareness was simultaneously creating friction at the booking stage.
Most salon clients are on mobile, searching for 'nail salon near me' between work and errands. The priority was a mobile experience fast enough and simple enough that a client could find the salon, see prices, and book an appointment without having to wait for a human response.
The Solution
We built a mobile-first salon site with a clean, visual service menu that lists every service with current pricing — gel, acrylic, dip powder, nail art, seasonal sets — so clients know exactly what to expect before calling or booking. Eliminating the pricing question from the DM conversation reduced friction significantly.
A dedicated nail art gallery organized by style category — nail art, gel, acrylic, seasonal, and custom designs — showcases the work in a structured way that Instagram's grid can't replicate. Each gallery category links directly to the relevant service and booking page, creating a visual-to-action path for clients who are browsing for inspiration.
Online booking integration removed the DM step entirely, allowing clients to check availability and book appointments 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Google Maps and current hours were placed prominently on the home page because the most common mobile intent for salon searches is 'open now near me' — the site answers that question immediately without requiring navigation.

For Beauty Salons, Pricing Transparency Is a Conversion Driver
Most nail salons list services without prices, forcing prospective clients to call or message before they can make a booking decision. That friction causes a meaningful number of potential clients to simply move to the next salon in their search results — one that does answer the pricing question upfront. Transparency about service pricing isn't undercutting the experience; it's respecting the client's time and eliminating unnecessary back-and-forth before a booking can happen. For TurboThao Nails, publishing a complete menu with current pricing on the website converted browsers who would have otherwise bounced into booked appointments. The salon sets its own prices and can update them anytime — and that control is built into the site's management workflow.
“My clients love the new website, they can see all our services, check prices, and book appointments right from their phone. CalTech Web made the whole process painless.”
